How to get more Stash space
Your Stash starts with 40 item slots and 12 weapon slots, counted separately. Two upgrades at the 3D Printer add to them:
- Stash Item Upgrade: 18 more item slots for each of tiers I, III and IV (what Stash Item Upgrade II adds is not recorded yet). Tier I costs $10,000 + 10 Rigid Synthetics + 10 Electronic Sensors.
- Stash Weapon Upgrade: 6 more weapon slots for each of its 3 tiers, so 30 weapon slots once you have them all. Tier I costs $50,000 + 20 Reactive Metals + 10 Stock Rod + 5 Comms Module.
Raising your DMZ level adds Stash space as well, without buying anything.
Ingredient Printing: make the ingredients you cannot find
Two upgrades let the 3D Printer make ingredients. Uncommon Ingredient Printing costs $50,000 + 20 Biomaterials + 10 High-Tenacity Fibers + 5 Comms Module and prints Biomaterials, Control Unit, Detonators, Electronic Sensors, Reactive Metals and Rigid Synthetics. Epic Ingredient Printing costs $100,000 + 10 Binding Catalyst + 10 Printed Circuit Board + 5 Military Composites and prints Alloyed Plating, Ballistic Fabric, Comms Module, Nylon Laminate, Power Regulator, Stabilized Reagents, Turned Components and Volatile Explosives.
What each print costs is in our 3D Printer recipe list, and where to find every ingredient these upgrades take is in our MW4 DMZ crafting materials list.
Discounts and storage
The MIA Recovery Discount takes 5% off a rescue per tier: what a rescue costs to begin with is in our MIA Operators guide. The Dog Tag Case Upgrade adds room for the tags in our Dog Tags guide, and the Gunsmith Upgrade takes 5% off the Gunsmith per tier. Several tiers ask for intel documents or valuables, such as Infantry Invasion Plans or a Gold Skull, rather than ingredients.
Not confirmed yet
- Gunsmith Upgrade II costs 100,000 DMZ Cash.
Questions
How do you upgrade the 3D Printer in MW4 DMZ?
The 3D Printer, which opens at DMZ Player Level 2, is where you buy upgrades for the rest of the FOB: a bigger Bank, more Stash and Dog Tag Case space, Gunsmith and MIA recovery discounts, more Vendor items, and printing for Uncommon and Epic ingredients. Each tier costs DMZ Cash and items, and needs the tier before it.
How do you get more Stash space in DMZ?
Buy the Stash Item Upgrade and the Stash Weapon Upgrade at the 3D Printer. The Stash starts with 40 item and 12 weapon slots; 3 Stash Item tiers add 18 item slots each and each of the 3 Stash Weapon tiers adds 6 weapon slots. Raising your DMZ level adds more too.
What does the Bank Upgrade do in DMZ?
It raises how much DMZ Cash your Bank holds, in 7 tiers: $250,000 after tier I, up to $25,000,000 after tier VII. Tier I costs $20,000; from tier III on, each tier also takes intel such as Infantry Invasion Plans.
How much DMZ Cash do all the upgrades cost?
$2,740,000 for the 19 tiers with a recorded price, plus the items each one takes. 9 of the 28 tiers have no DMZ Cash price recorded yet.
What do you need for Epic Ingredient Printing?
$100,000 + 10 Binding Catalyst + 10 Printed Circuit Board + 5 Military Composites. It lets you print the Epic ingredients: Alloyed Plating, Ballistic Fabric, Comms Module, Nylon Laminate, Power Regulator, Stabilized Reagents, Turned Components and Volatile Explosives.
