Materials that drop from bosses
The rarest ingredients come from the Commanders, the roaming bosses: Experimental Compounds, Prototype RF Module, Military Composites and Nano-Structured Alloy. Where players have run into each Commander, and how the Boss Board works, is in our MW4 DMZ bosses list. A Commander kill pays DMZ XP, and getting out afterwards brings the ingredients home.
Print what you cannot find
14 ingredients have a print recipe at the 3D Printer, unlocked by the Ingredient Printing upgrade for their rarity (what each upgrade costs is in our 3D Printer upgrades list). What each print costs, and every recipe these ingredients go into, is in our 3D Printer recipe list. CPUs and Comms Modules have a page about the buildings players loot them in, the Deadtown hillside facade buildings.
