This is Hajin in DMZ. Threat levels, keys and exfils are DMZ only; the Battle Royale version's own locations come with Season 1, and we add them here the day Activision posts them.

What Activision has said about Hajin in Warzone

  • Hajin becomes the Battle Royale map in Call of Duty: Warzone from Season 1. Hajin is shaped by the conflicts of the MW4 campaign, Call of Duty said when it announced it in August 2026.
  • Season 1 starts on November 6, 2026 in MW4 and Warzone, on Activision's MW4 roadmap. There is no start time yet; we add it when Activision posts it.
  • Zodiac, a new Resurgence map built by Beenox with a train, comes to Warzone at the same time.
  • Warzone gets a setting to show only MW4 Operator skins in game.
  • The Aston Martin Dreadnought is built for both MW4 and Warzone. At launch it waits at a few key points of interest in DMZ and in Warzone. Activision has not named them. More on it in our MW4 DMZ vehicles guide.
  • In Warzone you never refuel or repair a vehicle; in DMZ you do, at the Gas Stations and Marine Gas Stations on the map above.

Hajin at a glance

Hajin is the exclusion zone where South Korea, North Korea and Russia meet. Activision describes 13 major locations and says it has more than 60 named locations in all. The west is the former North Korean side, rural and military, with 14th Political Prison, Chang-san Air Base, Deadtown. The east is Hajin City, from NuriGO Mall and The Grid down to Wolves Stadium, with Songdo Wharf on the coast and the Haneul Nuclear Reactor in the northeast.

Warzone on Hajin and DMZ on Hajin

Same map, different modes. In Warzone's Battle Royale, squads drop in and play to be the last one standing, and Warzone is free to play. In DMZ you fight AI forces and other squads for loot and keep only what you get out with, and you need Modern Warfare 4 (see is MW4 DMZ free?). Questions

Is Hajin the new Warzone map?

Yes. Call of Duty said in August 2026 that Hajin, the DMZ map of Modern Warfare 4, becomes the new Battle Royale map in Call of Duty: Warzone from Season 1.

When does Hajin come to Warzone?

With Season 1, on November 6, 2026, the date on Activision's MW4 roadmap for both MW4 and Warzone. Activision has not given a start time yet.

Is the Warzone Hajin map the same as the DMZ map?

It is the same region: Activision calls it the DMZ map Hajin coming to Battle Royale. It has not published the Battle Royale version's own list of locations yet, so until it does, the map on this page shows Hajin's 13 major locations and 22 named areas as they are in DMZ.

What other Warzone map comes in Season 1?

Zodiac, a new Resurgence map built by Beenox, with a train on it. Activision says both new Warzone maps arrive in Season 1.

Do you need MW4 to play Hajin in Warzone?

No. Call of Duty: Warzone is free to play, so from Season 1 you can drop into Hajin in Battle Royale without buying MW4. DMZ, the extraction mode on Hajin, still needs Modern Warfare 4.
