MW4 DMZ Container Loot: What Every Container Drops

Open the container that fits what you are short of. Chemical Storage gives the most loot of any (about 7 items an opening), computers and server blades give CPUs, a Weapons Locker holds a Legendary weapon 1 in 3 times, and a Safe or a Cash Register is where the money is.

Last updated Game version: Launch (October 23, 2026)

What to open for each item

For a 3D Printer ingredient, look it up below. The odds are how often that kind of container held at least one, so “1 in 3” means roughly every third one you open.

Basic resources

For plain Synthetics, Electronics, Chemicals and Metals, the four basic resources the 3D Printer asks for by the stack, open Luggage for Synthetics, Computer for Electronics, Chemical Storage for Chemicals and Tool Chest for Metals. Counting every kind of resource together, the richest containers are Chemical Storage (28.2 a time), Tool Chest (17.9 a time), Filing Cabinet (15.5 a time) and Luggage (13.6 a time). Weapons lockers, rifle cases, safes and crates give next to none.

Weapon Manuals and Recipes count only once you extract with them; what each unlocks is in our Weapon Manuals guide and our 3D Printer recipe list. Keys from a Jacket or a Gaming Computer can be any key: look up the door yours opens in our MW4 DMZ key finder.

Where the good containers are

  • Computers and server blades: the server rooms at the Cheonwang Peak Array are packed with them, as our Cheonwang Peak Array server rooms guide shows; computers in offices are worth a look on the way.
  • Weapons lockers: the locked rooms of Hajin's gun stores, and which key opens each, are in our DMZ gun stores guide; key rooms often hold one or two more.
  • Safes: the Hanex Bank branches keep theirs inside a vault that takes a card and a four-digit code, explained in our Hanex Bank vault guide.
  • Medical containers (first aid kits, medicine cabinets, medical bags) are thickest at Mirae General Hospital and in the medical tents, the places to go for Binding Catalyst and Biomaterials.
  • Tool chests and tool boxes are in the industrial areas, for Metals and Reactive Metals.

Each ingredient's own places are in our crafting materials list, and the interactive Hajin map lights them up when you search a material.

Containers in X01

X01, the facility under Hajin that opened with Season 1, uses the same kinds of containers, and its Deep Vault footlockers can hold an Irradiated Container, which has to be taken to the Haneul Nuclear Reactor to be decontaminated: where the machine is and what comes out is in our Irradiated Container guide. The valuables only found there are in our X01 guide. The odds on this page are from Hajin before Season 1.

The most crowded containers are Chemical Storage (6.8 items), Weapons Locker (5.7 items), Basic Weapons Locker (4.9 items). Everyday healing and armor come from the military and medical kinds; our DMZ best loot guide covers what is worth carrying home once you have it.

How to loot faster

  • Decide what you are short of before you deploy, then open the matching container kind and walk past the rest.
  • Higher threat areas pay a little better: containers in Extreme threat areas held an Epic or better item about a third more often than the same containers elsewhere. What each threat level sends at you is in our DMZ threat levels guide.
  • Every container you open pays a little XP too, so a long loot run also moves your DMZ level.

Questions

What are containers in DMZ?

Everything in Hajin you can open and search: lockers, bags, computers, cabinets, safes, crates and supply drops. There are 33 kinds, and each kind leans toward its own loot: computers toward CPUs and Electronics, medical kits toward Biomaterials and healing, weapons lockers toward guns.

Which container has the best loot in DMZ?

It depends on what you need. Chemical Storage gives the most per opening, about 7 items and 28 resource units. A Weapons Locker holds a Legendary weapon 1 in 3 times, and a Safe pays cash 87% of the time.

Where do you find CPUs in DMZ?

In computers. About 1 in 3 Gaming Computers and 1 in 3 ordinary Computers hold one, and server blades do almost as well, so server rooms are the place to farm them.

What is in a Safe in DMZ?

Cash 87% of the time, about $450 each, and intel valuables: Infantry Invasion Plans (61%), Regional Combat Notes (57%), Ballistic Flight Logs (55%). Safes also turn up Weapon Manuals and Self-Revive Kits now and then.

Do Extreme areas have better loot in DMZ?

A little. Containers in Extreme threat areas held an Epic or better item about a third more often than the same containers elsewhere. The containers themselves are the same kinds, so a nearby Chemical Storage can still beat a far trip.

Where do you decontaminate an Irradiated Container?

At the Haneul Nuclear Reactor in Hajin: its item card says it must be decontaminated there. You find Irradiated Containers in ordinary containers, Chemical Storage and weapons lockers among them, and in Season 1 also in X01.
